# Analytics events

> The first-party events PolyEmbed records for widgets, trading and funding.

PolyEmbed records these events in its own database to power your [Analytics](https://docs.polyembed.io/publishers/analytics.md) and to attribute trades for [earnings](https://docs.polyembed.io/publishers/earnings.md). Widget-load events are also sent to PolyEmbed's Google Analytics property with `publisher_id`, `domain_id`, `widget_id`, `market_id`, `score` and `failure_code` parameters.

## Widget and matching

| Event | When |
| - | - |
| `market_search_performed` | The widget searched Polymarket for an article |
| `market_matched` | A market cleared the threshold. Includes the score breakdown |
| `market_search_failed` | No market cleared the threshold; the widget collapsed |
| `widget_impression` | The widget rendered a matched market. Counts as an impression |
| `widget_loaded` | The widget finished loading |
| `widget_authorization_failed` | The widget, domain or publisher was inactive, or the page wasn't on the verified domain |
| `market_viewed` | A reader viewed the market in the widget |
| `embed_error` | The widget hit an error. Counts toward **Widget errors** |

## Reader actions

| Event | When |
| - | - |
| `open_polymarket_clicked` | A reader followed the link to Polymarket. Counts as a Polymarket click |
| `trade_button_clicked` | A reader started a trade. Counts toward interaction rate |
| `trading_unavailable` | Trading was off for the reader, for example because of their region |
| `owner_signer_connect_clicked` | A reader started connecting a wallet |
| `owner_signer_connected` | A wallet connected |
| `deposit_wallet_created` | The reader's Polymarket deposit wallet was set up |

## Funding

| Event | When |

| `funding_clicked` | A reader opened **Add funds** |
| `funding_address_copied` | A reader copied a deposit address |

## Orders

| Event | When |
| - | - |
| `order_ticket_opened` | The order form opened |
| `order_reviewed` | A reader reviewed an order |
| `order_signed` | The reader signed the order in their wallet |
| `order_submitted` | The order was sent to Polymarket |
| `order_matched` | Polymarket filled the order |
| `order_failed` | Polymarket rejected the order, or it failed to submit |
| `position_sold` | A reader sold shares |
