# FAQ

> Common questions from publishers and readers.

## Publishers

> **Does PolyEmbed cost anything?**
>
> No. PolyEmbed is free for publishers. You earn 70% of the builder fees on trades placed from your pages. See [Earnings](https://docs.polyembed.io/publishers/earnings.md).

> **Can I choose which market appears on an article?**
>
> No. Matching is automatic and based on each article's title and keywords. You influence it with your keywords and by choosing which templates include the widget. See [Market matching](https://docs.polyembed.io/publishers/market-matching.md).

> **What happens on articles with no related market?**
>
> The widget collapses to zero height. Readers see nothing, and your layout has no empty box.

> **Does the widget slow down my pages?**
>
> The widget loads in a lazy iframe from its own host, so it doesn't block your page from rendering. Matching runs on PolyEmbed's servers, with search results and prices cached.

> **Does it work on subdomains?**
>
> Yes. Verifying `example.com` covers `news.example.com`, `www.example.com` and every other subdomain.

> **Can I use it on more than one site?**
>
> Yes. Verify each domain and create a widget for each.

> **Do I need WordPress?**
>
> No. The HTML snippet works on any site. The WordPress plugin is a convenience. See [CMS templates](https://docs.polyembed.io/install/cms-templates.md).

> **Can I style the widget?**
>
> You control the iframe's size and placement. The widget's own styling follows Polymarket's light theme and isn't configurable yet.

> **Do readers need a Polymarket account?**
>
> No. Readers connect a wallet or continue with email, and the widget sets up their Polymarket deposit wallet. If they already use Polymarket with the same wallet, their existing balance and positions appear.

> **Am I responsible for readers' trades?**
>
> No. Readers trade on Polymarket with their own wallets. You're responsible for how you present the widget. See [Editorial guidelines](https://docs.polyembed.io/publishers/editorial-guidelines.md).

## Readers

> **Is PolyEmbed a broker or exchange?**
>
> No. PolyEmbed is an interface. Orders go to Polymarket's order book, and funds stay in your own Polymarket deposit wallet.

> **Does PolyEmbed hold my funds or keys?**
>
> No. You own the signer, and your funds sit in your own Polymarket deposit wallet.

> **Do I pay gas?**
>
> No. Polymarket's relayer covers gas for deploying your deposit wallet, enabling trading and trading. Polymarket's trading fees still apply, and orders can include builder fees.

> **Why can't I trade?**
>
> Trading may not be available in your region. See [Where trading is available](https://docs.polyembed.io/readers/availability.md).

> **Where do I see my positions?**
>
> At [polyembed.io/portfolio](https://polyembed.io/portfolio), or on Polymarket. See [Your portfolio](https://docs.polyembed.io/readers/portfolio.md).

> **How do I withdraw?**
>
> Sign in to [polymarket.com](https://polymarket.com) with the same wallet or email and use its withdrawal flow.
